Eaton man accused of selling meth in front of newborn

EATON — A 31-year-old Eaton man is facing felony charges after he was accused of selling methamphetamine in front of his newborn, according to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Shaner was indicted by a grand jury following the incident in mid-November, where deputies said he sold the drugs during an undercover purchase.

Shaner is charged with drug trafficking, possession of drugs and endangering children, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said the 31-year-old has a significant drug history, with a prior drug conviction in 2007.

Shaner was arrested in Oxford Monday morning on a warrant and is being held in the Preble County Jail.
