Drug-trafficking charges issued after 2 arrested in Darke County drug raid

A Darke County man and woman are in jail and facing multiple drug charges following a raid at a Gettysburg apartment by the Darke County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit.

Christopher Silcott, 43, was booked into the Darke County Jail on charges of trafficking methamphetamine while Jamie Hampshire, 38, is charged with permitting drug abuse. Additional charges will be filed, according to a release from the Darke County sheriff's office.

Deputies said an assortment of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a handgun were found in the apartment in the 200 block of Bridge Street in Gettysburg.

The Greenville police department and Darke County SRT/Miami County SRT assisted the sheriff's office for the Monday raid.
