But, police said, he'll be ticketed for speeding and failure to control a motor vehicle.

Police and fire/rescue units were dispatched just after 8 p.m. on a report of a vehicle into a structure in the area of Leland and Fairbanks. They arrived to find moderate to severe damage to the structure, which appeared to be unoccupied but not abandoned.

Police told us the young man walked to his home, on Fairbanks, after climbing out of the wreckage. The truck belongs to a family member who uses it to conduct small business, such as lawn service, the officers said.

The house appears to be destroyed.
