WATCH: Video shows Centerville shooting suspect surrender

UPDATE @ 1:10 p.m. (May 31):

Surveillance video from the Centerville police station shows Anthony Walker, one of two men accused in the shooting on Chase Drive last week, surrendering to officers.

Walker and Devon Taylor both appeared in Kettering Municipal Court Tuesday, where their bonds were set at $450,000 each.

Both men were scheduled for a preliminary hearing in the case on Friday.

Taylor and Walker are accused of being involved in the shooting that wounded Aaron Davis, 26, of Dayton.

UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m. (May 30):The two men accused in a shooting on Chase Drive in Centerville that left a Dayton man critically injured are to appear in Kettering Municipal Court this morning.

Anthony Walker and Devon Taylor are scheduled for video arraignments at 10:30 a.m.

Both men are charged with felonious assault.

UPDATE @ 10:52 a.m. (May 26)

Two people have been arrested and a shooting victim remains in critical condition following a shooting on Chase Drive Friday morning, police said.

Aaron Davis, 26, of Dayton was found in the basement of an apartment in the first block of Chase with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.  Davis was transported to a local hospital in critical, but stable condition, police said.

One suspect, Anthony Walker, 32, of Dayton, turned himself in at the Centerville Police Department following the shooting and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of felonious assault.

A second suspect, Devon Taylor, 32, of Dayton, is accused of chasing after Walker as he was fleeing the crime scene and shot multiple times at Walker and his vehicle, Centerville police told News Center 7.  Taylor also is being held on suspicion of felonious assault at the Montgomery County Jail.

Centerville police plan to present the case to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office for formal charges.UPDATE @ 6:40 a.m. 

Centerville police said a second shooter fired shots outside an apartment after a person was shot inside the building on Chase Drive.

Police said a dispute occurred between two people inside an apartment that left one person suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators believe while the first suspected shooter was attempting to leave the complex, a second shooter fired at least eight shots at him.

Police said earlier one of the suspected shooters drove to the Centerville Police Department and turned himself in. Investigators did not say if the suspect in custody was the first or second shooter, nor if they had a suspect description.

The condition of the victim was still not available.

UPDATE @ 4:16 a.m.

Two men inside a Chase Drive apartment had a dispute that resulted in the shooting that left one man injured.

“This is not a random thing,” said Centerville Police Department Public Information Officer John Davis. “This is two people who knew each other, so there’s no danger to the public.”

The shooting suspect was taken into custody after he drove to the police department and turned himself in.

Centerville police confirm one person was shot inside an apartment on Chase Drive and has been transported to a local hospital.

Police said the condition of the victim was not immediately available.

Investigators said the suspect drove himself to the Centerville police station and turned himself in to police.

FIRST REPORT

One person has reportedly been shot in an drive-by shooting on Chase Drive in Centerville Friday morning.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the first block of Chase Drive around 2:50 a.m. on initial reports of a person shot.

Police scanner traffic indicates the incident was a drive-by shooting. Initial reports indicate the possible shooter went to the Centerville police station and was taken into custody.
