Dayton home sustains heavy damage after a car crashes into it

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 7:45 a.m:  A Dayton home has sustained heavy damage after a vehicle crashed into it early Friday morning.

The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Wayne Avenue where a man accelerated trying to turn into the northbound lanes of Wayne Avenue, causing him to crash straight into the home, according to officials.

It is unconfirmed whether the residents of the home were inside when the crash occurred, however, the driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

Dayton police responded to a car that crashed into a house in the 2100 block of Wayne Avenue Friday morning.

The car has reportedly caused the house to collapse, per initial reports.
