Fire damages vacant house on Highview Hills Rd. in Dayton

UPDATE @ 7:55 a.m. 

Firefighters said a vacant house in the 3000 block of Highview Hills Road was heavily damaged after a fire broke out Monday morning.

Crews reported the structure was fully involved in flames when they arrived on scene around 7:15 a.m.

Firefighters said they also found arcing power lines near the structure.

The cause of the fire is unknown but a fire investigator has been requested to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters have responded to a reported house fire on Highview Hills Road in Dayton Monday morning.

Crews were dispatched around 7:15 a.m. to a house near the intersection of Highview Hills Road and McArthur Avenue in Dayton and reported flames shooting through the roof of the house.

A fire investigator has been requested to the scene, but it’s unknown if the house if occupied or vacant.
