Fire rekindles at Clearcreek Twp. home 24 hours after first blaze

UPDATE @ 6:25 a.m. 

Firefighters said a house fire rekindled after initially igniting early Sunday morning.

Reports indicate firefighters were dispatched to the the home on West Pekin Road in Clearcreek Twp. around 2 a.m. Sunday morning for the initial fire. Additional details about the first fire were unavailable.

The blaze rekindled about 24 hours later early Monday morning.

No one was at the home when the fire rekindled this morning.

The structure is considered a total loss.

Fire crews continue to battle a house fire on West Pekin Road in Clearcreek Twp.

Heavy smoke continues to show from the house more than an hour after the fire was reported.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters in Warren County have responded to a reported working house fire on West Pekin Road in Clearcreek Twp.

Crews were dispatched to the 600 block of West Pekin Road around 4:25 a.m.

First units on the scene reported the house was fully engulfed in smoke and flames.

It was not immediately clear if the house was occupied or vacant.
