XENIA — A deputy checking on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Sprint store at the Xenia Town Square Wednesday morning was led on a high-speed pursuit, which ultimately ended in Montgomery County, investigators said.
The deputy was on patrol in the area of the Sprint store around 4:30 a.m. when he spotted a vehicle in the parking lot, which matched the description of a suspect vehicle from an area cell phone store break-in, according to deputies.
When the deputy approached the vehicle, the suspect vehicle sped off and led to a pursuit on U.S. 35 toward Dayton, deputies said.
Cruiser camera video shows the pursuit travel west on U.S. 35 at maximum speeds of 130 mph.
Deputies terminated the pursuit at the Woodman Drive exit and the suspect vehicle was able to escape.
