Car accident in Greenville sends one to the hospital

Crews were requested to an injury accident involving two vehicles Monday in Greenville.

Darke County Deputies, Greenville Township Fire and Greenville Township Rescue responded to the accident at the intersection of US 127 and Kruckeberg Road around 2:30 p.m.

Nancy Poling, 81, driving a light blue Buick LaCrosse east on Kruckeberg Road, struck Martha Garner, 62, driving a white Oldsmobile Alero, according to Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Poling, of Bradford, failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign before striking the vehicle Garner, of Ansonia, was driving, a release stated.

Poling was treated for injuries at the scene but Garner was taken to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Township Rescue with non-life threatening injuries, the release stated.

The accident is under investigation.
