Suspects in attempted store break-in also stole truck, led police on 2 chases

BEAVERCREEK — UPDATE @ 12:34 p.m.

Beavercreek police Capt. Chad Lindsey said security for the Greene Town Center called police around 4:40 a.m. regarding to attempted store break-in.

The suspects had fled in a silver Pontiac Grand Am that traveled east on Indian Ripple Road to the Speedway gas station in the area of Indian Ripple and Darst roads.

“One of the suspects jumped out and stole a Ford F150, which was parked at a gas pump,” Lindsey said.

The two suspect vehicles then traveled on Indian Ripple Road to Interstate 675 northbound.

Lindsey said two officers pursued the vehicles.

The truck headed onto U.S. 35 westbound and that chase was terminated in the area of James H. McGee Boulevard.

Officers continued to chase the Pontiac Grand Am into Fairborn before terminating.

An attempted break-in at the Buckle store at The Greene led police to chasing two suspect vehicles overnight, officials said.

According to police, when investigators arrived at the Buckle, the suspects had fled the scene.

The suspects left The Greene Town Center and while at a nearby gas station, stole a pickup truck, which led police to chasing both vehicles, investigators said.

The pursuits were ongoing around 4:45 a.m. Friday.

The suspect vehicles got away from police during the pursuits and officers said they are still looking for the suspects and vehicles involved, officers said.
