Bradford Pumpkin Show underway for the 88th time

BRADFORD — The 88th Annual Bradford Pumpkin Show, Ohio’s longest-running community festival, kicked off Tuesday evening.

It was the first of six parades during the five-day festival in the village split along Darke and Miami county line.

Bags of confetti went on sale after the parade. They will sell over a ton of confetti thru Saturday, but not on Wednesday because that’s “no confetti Wednesday.”

The parade on Saturday afternoon is the annual firemen’s parade kicking off National Friday Prevention Week. The theme of Fire Prevention Week is ” Don’t Wait-Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years.”
