Bomb threat prompts evacuation at Troy Junior High

The bomb threat was written on a wall in the boys’ bathroom. It was discovered by a student who alerted a school resource officer, police said.

The resource officer then alerted other officials and the school was immediately evacuated. After several hours, no bomb was found, and classes resumed, officials said.

First report:

Troy Junior High School was evacuated this morning after the school received a bomb threat.

About 700 seventh-and eighth-rade students were escorted to the high school as police search the property.

The school received the bomb threat around 11:15 a.m.

A bomb-sniffing K-9 from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has been called to the school.

There are no indications that there is any credibility to the threat.
