2 allegedly sold vicodin pills in undercover vice sting

A man and woman denied charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs after Clark County task force officers made the arrests during an undercover sting operation.

Jamie L. Rutherford, 34, of South Vienna, and William D. Jacks, 64, of Springfield, are being held in the Clark County Jail on $2,500 bonds as they stand accused of selling vicodin to a confidential informant and an undercover officer, according to Springfield Municipal Court documents.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges in separate arraignment hearings today.

From Jan. 20 to Feb. 6, the Clark County Vice and Organized Crime Joint Task Force arranged to buy vicodin pills from the defendants on three occasions, court records show.

The undercover operation resulted in a total of 15 vicodin being purchase in the 500 block of South Hubert Avenue, according to court records.
