Hamilton man killed in Butler County motorcycle crash

ROSS TWP. — Update, Sept. 26 at 12:30 p.m.:

Patric W. Davis died of multiple traumatic injuries in a motorcycle accident Sunday, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office.

The death of Davis, 49, of Hamilton, has been ruled an accident, according to the coroner’s office.

ORIGINAL REPORT, Sept. 25:

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office and Ross Township EMS responded to a fatality involving a motorcycle early Sunday afternoon in the 2700 block of of Hamilton-Cleves Road.

According to a dispatcher with the sheriff’s office, the crash was reported shortly after 2 p.m., and emergency crews were on the scene looking at what appeared to be an accident involving a motorcycle going over a guardrail.

Law enforcement was still trying to contact the family of the deceased shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday and could not release the name of the deceased until they had completed notifying the family.

The accident scene had been cleared shortly after 3 p.m. as several onlookers had gathered to see what had happened.

The Sheriff’s Office said the accident was still under investigation Sunday and no determination had been made as to what caused the wreck.
