No injuries in 2-vehicle rollover crash in Darke County

GREENVILLE TWP. — An SUV and minivan were heavily damaged in a rollover crash this afternoon, but none of the seven occupants had to go to any hospitals.

Four adults and three children were inside the two vehicles that collided at 1:35 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Childrens Home Bradford Road, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 51-year-old Starla Bowers of Union City, Indiana, was west on Childrens Home Bradford Road when she pulled through the intersection. She was struck by a 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by 37-year-old Jonathan White of Troy that was headed south on U.S. 127.

Bowers’ sport-utility vehicle overturned on its side. She and a child in her SUV climbed out. White had two adult passengers and two children in his vehicle. All were treated at the scene by Greenville Twp. rescue, but declined to be taken to a local hospital, deputies said.

Bowers was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign, according to the sheriff’s office.
