Hot and dry Independence Day as heatwave continues through the weekend

THIS EVENING & OVERNIGHT: It’s going to be a hot and muggy evening across the Miami Valley, according to News Center 7 Meteorologist Molly Coates. A spotty shower or storm is possible, but the majority will remain dry. It will be mostly clear, warm and muggy overnight with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Conditions will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 90s. Again, the heat index will be in the mid to upper 90s. A stray shower or storm could develop in the afternoon but most will stay dry.

MONDAY: Expect sunshine and some clouds. The heat wave continues with highs in the low 90s. A pop up shower or storm could develop as we heat up in the afternoon hours.

TUESDAY: The highs will hit mid 90s again. It will be a little muggier, so the heat index will be in the upper 90s. There will be sun and clouds with a few isolated showers and storms.

WEDNESDAY:There will be partly cloudy skies with highs staying hot, in the lower 90s. Humidity will stay moderate so the heat index will be in the mid to upper 90s. There will be a few passing showers & storms for the afternoon.

THURSDAY: It will be partly cloudy, humid and hot Thursday. High temperatures will climb into the low 90s again. An isolated pop-up shower or storm is possible.
