Gas prices go up in Miami Valley

Gas prices have gone up in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley.

Average retail gas prices in Dayton have risen 7.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.34 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton.

This compares with the national average that has increased 3.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.21 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.34, with prices stable. The cheapest gas, as of this morning, is $2.13 at United Dairy Farmers at Harshman Road and Brandt Pike.

In Hamilton, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.26, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $1.96 at Five Points Market at Grand Blvd. near Tylersville Road.

In Springfield, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.34, with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.23 at Marathon at E. Main Street and S. Belmont Avenue.
