Flames, smoke damage 5-unit apartment building in Dayton

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 2:49 p.m. 

Dayton fire District Chief Cheryl Clark said a damage estimate is not available yet but fire did extend into the attic of the five-unit apartment building.

Only one resident was living there at the time. He got out uninjured.

No injuries were reported.

Cause still under investigation.

FIRST REPORT 

Fire crews are fighting an apartment fire in Dayton Sunday afternoon.

Around 12:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Mayfair Road an apartment fire was reported.

Flames were showing on arrival.
