American Airlines said the issue at Philadelphia International Airport stems from a planned shutdown, but their systems never returned online at 4 a.m., our CBS affiliates in Philadelphia and Dallas report.
FIRST REPORT
The Federal Aviation Administration has reportedly issued a ground stop for all American Airlines flights heading to Philadelphia International Airport.
Earlier reports indicated customers of American Airlines were experiencing delays in checking in caused by a computer outage, our CBS affiliate CBS Philly reported.
Update: Ground stop for flights departing to PHL is for @AmericanAir flights only. Other inbound flights are operating.

At 6:15 a.m. the Dayton International Airport reported one departure to the Philadelphia airport, and one expected arrival were delayed.
