Darke County Fair kicks off Friday

The Darke County Fair kicks off Friday, Aug. 18.

In preparation for the fair, several public agencies have been working for months to ensure a safe event.

News Center 7’s Steve Baker was at the fairground today to hear about how the agencies are making safety the No. 1 priority.

Find out more starting at 5 p.m. on WHIO about the joint efforts by Darke County Fair Board, Darke County Homeland Security & Emergency Management Agency, Greenville Twp. Emergency Service, Greenville Police and Fire, Greenville Street Department, Darke County Highway Department, Ohio Department of Transportation and the Darke County Sheriff's Office.

The fair is located at 800 Sweitzer Street, Greenville.
