REPORT: Cash register, beer, candy stolen in Action Sports Center burglary

DAYTON — An estimated 10 cases of Coors Light and Miller Lite beer, a cash register and 15 cases of candy were stolen from Action Sports Center over the weekend, according to a city police incident report.

Dayton police were dispatched to 1103 Gateway Drive around 11:32 p.m. on Sunday

after an alarm was activated, according to the police report.

When officers arrived, the person on site reported the cooler had almost been emptied.

“He also stated that the register, a Casio, was missing and that he did not know if there was any money inside of the register,” wrote Dayton Police Officer Jared Dobney. “He did say that if there was any, it would be a balanced register of $100.”

Six case of Gatorade and four cases of soda were also taken, according to the police incident report.

Personnel on site reported the concession stand garage door appeared to have new damage, wrote police in the incident report.

The person onsite says he believed the thief had knowledge of the layout and storage of the facility due to how quickly the theft occurred after the alarm was triggered.

Officers observed a door was busted and there was glass piled in a doorway, according to the incident report.
