Police seek registered sex offender in child rape case

Authorities are searching for a sex offender last known to live in Kettering who was indicted today in a child rape case.

An arrest warrant was issued today for 38-year-old Esaw Brown. He was indicted on four felony counts of rape of a child younger than 10.

Brown in 2008 was convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and was sentenced to five years of community control. His probation ended in early 2012, online court records show. However, he also was designated a Tier II sexual offender, meaning he must register his address every 180 days with his local sheriff’s office for 25 years.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 11, online court records show.
