Dayton police nab burglary-in-progress suspect

DAYTON — Police caught a burglary suspect Friday night after just over a half hour of searching.

Officers were called at 9:15 p.m. to a report of a burglary in progress in the 200 block of Livingston Avenue. The suspect reportedly had a gun and then fled on foot, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

Police caught the suspect at 9:50 p.m. at Burkhardt and South Garland avenues. He did not have a gun when he was arrested, according to reports.

Francis Scott Snowball, 28, was booked on suspicion of criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor, into the Montgomery County Jail. He awaits a Monday afternoon arraignment. He also is being held without bond on a felony charge out of Ripley County, Indiana, online jail records show.
