Man hit twice in Dayton shooting

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 7:15 p.m. (Sept. 25)

A 36-year-old man was shot twice in the parking lot late Saturday at an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Norris Drive.

Police and medics were dispatched shortly before 11 p.m. The shooting victim was hit in the back and arm, Dayton police Lt. Andrew Gillig said.

Police found three shell casings, and witnesses reported seeing a car speed away.

Gillig said the victim’s injuries were considered serious, and he was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition was not available.

Police were searching for a dark green 1999 Ford Explorer in connection to the shooting.

Police and medics were called late tonight after a man was found with a gunshot wound.

The shooting was reported shortly before 11 p.m. in the 5000 block of Norris Drive. According to initial reports, a man was shot in the stomach and was lying on the ground in a parking lot. There was no information about the shooter.
