2 men injured in Trotwood stabbing

UPDATE @ 1:30 p.m.

A Trotwood man was hospitalized after he caught someone slashing his car tires with a box cutter, and then got slashed himself with the weapon.

Dustin Chatterton, the alleged victim, told police he chased the man slashing his tires down the street in the area of Olive Road and Hoover Avenue.

The suspect, Kenneth Christman, was also stabbed with the knife after Chatterton gained control of it. Christman will likely face a charge of felonious assault and trespassing after he gets out of the hospital.

Dispatchers confirm police are conducting an investigation in the 6100 block of Lorimer Street in Trotwood that is connected to the double-stabbing.

Details on why the address is connected to the investigation is unknown.

Police have not released any further details on their investigation and the conditions of the victims is unknown.

Investigators in Trotwood said two stabbing victims were transported to Miami Valley Hospital, but their conditions were not released.

Initial scanner traffic indicated that one victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Police have not said what might have led to the incident.

Two people have reportedly been found with stab wounds at the intersection of Hoover Avenue and Olive Road in Trotwood.

Police and medics were dispatched around 2:35 a.m. on a reports of two men in the intersection, one of them lying down and bleeding.

Initial reports indicate two people were found with stab wounds, but the severity of their injuries was unknown.
