DAYTON — UPDATE @ 4:05 p.m.

More than 50 pieces of evidence was taken from an east Dayton home last week by Dayton and Huber Heights police.

A roll of plastic, drug paraphernalia, eight cellphones, a safe, a Social Security card, a DNA trace and computers were collected as homicide and drug evidence, according to Dayton police reports.

FIRST REPORT

Detectives from Huber Heights and Dayton have collected homicide evidence — including a roll of plastic — from a Dayton home.

The agencies executed a search warrant last week from an east Dayton home and removed homicide and drug evidence, Dayton police records show.

Today, Huber Heights police declined to say whether the search warrant was related to the death of Brian W. Moore, whose body was found Sept. 13 by a pedestrian in a wooded area off Wildcat Road in Huber Heights.

At that time, Huber Heights police Sgt. Charles Taylor said, “The body that was located appeared to be under some kind of conditions, either wrapped in something, we’re not sure what that wrapping could be.”
