Driver flees after crashing into multiple poles, parked cars

DAYTON — A driver fled the scene after they crashed into multiple parked cars and light poles along Oakridge Avenue in Dayton Wednesday morning.

Police and fire crews were dispatched after dispatchers received reports of a car hitting a pole in the 1800 block of Oakridge Avenue around 2:50 a.m.

Officers said at least two parked cars suffered significant damage in the crash.

Firefighters reported there were two light poles that were knocked down at the intersection of Oakridge Drive and Anna Street. Our crew reports both poles were removed from the roadway and were not blocking traffic.

The driver fled the area and has reportedly not been located.
