Man found dead in Harrison Twp. identified

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @5:26 a.m. Oct. 27

The identity of a man found dead in Harrison Twp. Wednesday morning has been identified as 28-year-old Christopher Sugg, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

No other information was immediately available.

UPDATE @ 10:35 a.m. Oct. 26

The body of a 28-year-old man was warm to the touch when the coroner’s vehicle arrived this morning in the 2800 block of Philadelphia Drive, according to Montgomery County Major Daryl Wilson.

There were no signs of trauma, according to Wilson.

A work crew discovered the body, which was lying face down in a ditch near the roadway.

Detectives were conducting interviews in the area in hopes of finding a witness or a surveillance camera that recorded what happened.

The body has been transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The man’s identity has not been released.

FIRST REPORT

Deputies in Harrison Twp. have cordoned off an area where there appears to be a death investigation underway near Siebenthaler Avenue and Philadelphia Drive.

Crime scene tape is up and a white sheet appears to be covering a body near the roadway. Northbound traffic on Philadelphia Drive is blocked. The scene is approximately 100 feet from the intersection at Siebanthaler Avenue.

Dayton officers initially responded to the report of an unresponsive person there. The scene was determined to be in Harrison Twp.’s jurisdiction.

Deputies were called to take over the investigation around 9:30 a.m.
