Dayton raids net 7 arrests, heroin, guns and thousands in cash

DAYTON — A drug bust Monday evening led detectives to seize narcotics, weapons and cash from two homes in Dayton.

The Montgomery County Regional Agencies Narcotics and Gun Enforcement task force removed 6 ounces of suspected fentanyl along with heroin, marijuana, three handguns, two stolen motorcycles and several thousand dollars in cash from homes in the 2900 block of Oakridge Drive and the 900 block of Crestmore Avenue. Seven people have been arrested in connection to this bust stemming from an undercover operation, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The raids happened in the 2900 block of Oakridge Drive and the 900 block of Crestmore Avenue in Dayton as part of a long-term drug trafficking. A raid in May in the 200 block of Huron Avenue led police to seize 10 ounces of suspected fentanyl, a stolen handgun and several thousand dollars in cash, the task force announced.

Those arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of drug possession include: Tenika Crusoe, 33; Diante Everhart, 37; Jordan Gay, 25; Nicholas Gay, 36; Bruce Hobson, 40; Daundre Howard, 27; and Maurice Ward, 32. They are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
