Dayton man jailed in death of 6-week old baby

A 21-year-old man indicted in the death of his girlfriend’s 6-week-old daughter last year is now behind bars.

Sharon Hancock, 21, of Dayton was taken into custody shortly before 7 p.m. in the 4700 block of Germantown Pike and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on felony charges of involuntary manslaughter and child endangering. He is due in court Tuesday, according to online jail records.

A Dayton man has been indicted for multiple charges after he was indicted in the death last year of his girlfriend’s 6-week-old daughter.

Sharon Hancock, 21, of Dayton was indicted on two counts of endangering children and one count of involuntary manslaughter, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Hancock was the boyfriend of the baby’s mother. The infant, Alisa Albarracin, died Nov. 8, 2015, at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Prosecutors said doctors found Alisa to be suffering from cardiac and respiratory arrest from injuries suffered by the alleged actions of Hancock. The baby was first taken to the hospital Oct. 30, 2015.

A warrant has been issued for Hancock’s arrest and he’s scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 15.
