Burglar busts in drive-thru window, takes empty cash drawer

A burglar found his way into a Dayton fast food restaurant by climbing through a busted drive-through window.

The break-in at Long John Silvers, 3103 N. Gettysburg Ave., happened sometime overnight Friday into Saturday, according to the Dayton police report.

An employee showed up to open the store and found the drive-through window busted out, according to the report.

Police said the restaurant’s cash drawer was stolen, but the store manager told officers the drawer was empty.
