Ken Betz, Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab director, is newest Butler Twp. trustee

Ken Betz, director of the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab, is the newest Butler Twp. trustee.

Betz was appointed and sworn in Monday night. He replaces Nick Brusky, who resigned Jan. 20 to take a job with the Trump administration.

Betz has served on the township's budget commission since its creation last year, according to a report published on the township's Facebook page.

Betz, director of the crime lab since 1969, has also been director of the Montgomery County Coroner's Office since 1988.

His appointment to the board of trustees expires Dec. 31. His position and that of now-fellow Trustee Mike Lang are up for election in November.
