Truck carrying explosives crashes on Arkansas highway

Arkansas State Police confirmed a large crash involving a semi truck on Interstate 40 near Ozark on Wednesday.

Franklin County emergency manager Fred Mullen said a cargo truck carrying some type of explosive crashed. Emergency management believes it is a dangerous situation and do not want drivers near the area.

East and westbound lanes are both closed from mile markers 24 to 35 and police are diverting traffic onto Highway 64, according to Franklin County dispatch.
