Near perfection. That's what TNIAAM reader Klydefrog had this past weekend, as he went an impressive 12-1 overall against the spread to take the lead in the college football pick'em.
The only blemish on Klydefrog's pick'em board was Wake Forest failing to cover a 38.5-point spread against visiting Presbyterian on Thursday night. Other than that, if Klydefrog was actually betting on games this weekend, he'd have Vegas bookmakers busting down his door wanting to know how he did it.
Meanwhile, Cuse4life44 also had a solid week going 11-2 overall. He made two mistakes hoping Elon would take advantage of its 46 points it was given. They didn't losing 70-0 to Georgia Tech. Also, Maryland covering its 21-point spread against FIU was a downer for this week's second place finisher.
Eight TNIAAM readers went 10-3, while 19, including yours truly, went 9-4.
The game which cause the most problems was Boston College failing to cover its 16.5-point spread against visiting Villanova. Many TNIAAM pickers trusted the Eagles. I will just ask why?
The no-brainer games -- games most people got right -- ended up being Georgia Tech's cover over Elon, N.C. State's 14-point cover of Louisiana Tech and Syracuse using its 8-points over Penn State!
Before we get to the standings, here's a rundown of last week's correct picks: South Carolina, Presbyterian, Georgia Tech, Villanova, Maryland, N.C. State, Virginia, Syracuse, Duke, Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and LSU.
Expect Week 2's lines to come Wednesday morning.
