Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. Rice is dealing with a hip injury and missed the team's Week 3 matchup. He sustained the injury in the second half of the team's second game.
Prior to Week 3, it was reported that Rice could miss a full two weeks of action before returning, and given his lack of practicing this week, it seems like a smart bet that he won't be playing Sunday. Teams don't want to mess around with hip injuries, especially to running backs.
Getting Rice back for this game with the possibility of him injuring himself for much longer is the opposite of what Baltimore needs right now. The Bills have been better than expected this season, but the Ravens can beat them without Rice, so sitting him seems like the smart option.
Fantasy Impact: Even if Rice were to play on Sunday, it's likely his touches would be limited and that Bernard Pierce would get a good share of the carries. Rice should be avoided by fantasy football owners until it's confirmed he'll start, and even then a handcuff like Pierce or a starter for a lesser team would probably be a better option.
