The Detroit Lions got bad news before the game when it was announced that star receiver Calvin Johnson would be inactive with a knee injury. His absence was apparent as the offense struggled to move the ball all game long, losing to the Packers in Green Bay, 22-9.
The Lions defense did their best to keep it close, with the halftime score being just 6-3, but Aaron Rodgers found James Jones for an 83-yard touchdown in the third quarter and that was more than enough to take the win at home.
The Packers improve to 2-2, while the Lions fall to 3-2.
Reggie Bush also really disappointed fantasy owners this week, gaining just 69 total yards and no touchdowns.
Packers linebacker Brad Jones left with a hamstring injury and did not return. Clay Matthews suffered a thumb injury.
Lions tackle Jason Fox left with a knee injury.
The Packers were 7-point favorites according to OddsShark.com, and they covered easily.
