Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams tied his season high in all-purpose yards Sunday in the team's 35-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Williams had 64 rushing yards on 17 carries to go with 53 receiving yards on five receptions.
Williams' 117 yards equaled his Week 3 total, when he ran for 120 yards, but had minus-3 receiving yards as the Panthers beat the Giants. His 53 receiving yards Sunday was his highest receiving total since Week 14 last season, and the third-highest total of his career.
Fantasy impact: Williams hasn't scored yet on the season, with the team's goal-line and short-yardage touches going to either backup running back Mike Tolbert or quarterback Cam Newton.
He has almost 400 rushing yards and almost 100 receiving yards on the season, so his yardage is still acceptable, but without the scores, Williams can't rise too high in rankings. He'll be a low-end RB2 or flex as long as Tolbert is healthy.
