Unless you've been living under a rock (in which case you really, really, really need our magazine to get up to speed like now), you know that the 2014 recruiting class is crucial to Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteer football program. Somehow the man has put and held together a No. 1 class, and the group is not only wickedly talented, it's full of legacies and in-state kids.
Which gave me an idea.
The RTT community is full of smart people who are passionate about UT football and who are scattered out all over the state and beyond. Why not ask them to be our eyes and ears for these guys' senior seasons?
Here's how it would work: If you live close to any of the guys committed to play for the Vols next year, go to their games, watch them, and then do a short FanPost here on RTT to keep the rest of us informed. Read the news about the guy and pass along any links or info nuggets that we should know. We're not looking for Pulitzer candidates or anything, just a first-hand account of how these future Tennessee players are doing during their senior seasons.
Brad will be in charge of monitoring the FanPosts for these stories and for bringing worthy ones to the front page or aggregating/curating them into a front page post of his own.
So if you want to participate, let us know in the comments who you'll be covering. First come, first serve. Here's a list of the guys:
Ponte Vedra, FL
Oxon Hill, MD
Mission Viejo, CA
Locust Grove, GA
Max Meadows, VA
