The SEC released its 2014 football schedule Wednesday, the latest duct tape job thrown together in lieu of coming up with a permanent long-term scheduling solution. Auburn will retain its normal SEC West foes and face Georgia and South Carolina from the East.
In perhaps the biggest surprise of the announcement, Auburn will open the season against Arkansas. Yes, that's an SEC game to start the year. Can't say we've seen much of that before. After hosting both in 2013, the Tigers will play Alabama and Georgia on the road.

Well, no one can accuse Auburn of having an easy road in 2014. In fact, Gus Malzahn's team will likely have one of the toughest schedules in the country. In addition to the tough conference slate, the Tigers have a non-conference game on the road against Kansas State.
