The Texas Longhorns are reeling after back-to-back losses by significant margins and there's not a great deal of hope on the horizon based on the injury report released by the school during head coach Mack Brown's Monday morning press conference.
Out again is sophomore offensive weapon Daje Johnson with the ankle injury that he suffered against BYU, with no timetable for his return. Questionable is junior quarterback David Ash, who missed the Ole Miss game with head and shoulder injuries also suffered against BYU. So too are senior wide receiver Mike Davis (ankle), senior offensive guard Mason Walters (knee), and junior offensive tackle Josh Cochran (knee).
The status for Ash is still day-to-day and he has not yet participated in practice since the game against the Cougars. He was not in attendance for the game on Saturday due to the request of the doctors and was at practice on Sunday, but did not participate.
Brown was hoping for a little more luck this season. So far, it's been a perfect storm of tragedy and ineptitude.
