Lost in all of the Tyler Boyd and Todd Thomas love from Pitt's game on Saturday was that wide receiver Devin Street had a significant milestone. Street passed up Larry Fitzgerald for third on the all-time receptions list for the Panthers.
Street's five catches on Saturday gave him 162 for his career and that was good enough to barely pass Fitz, who had 161. Street is now in third place on the career receptions list behind only Latef Grim (178) and Antonio Bryant (173).
It can't be rationally argued that Street is somehow better than Fitzgerald. However, he's heck a of a career and will almost surely get a chance to play on Sundays with some team next year. Street can catch Bryant with a big game against Duke, but even if he doesn't, he should become the school's all-time leader at some point in the season assuming he stays healthy.
