φ MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher offers more details on the Camellia Bowl — SI caught up with the MAC Commissioner shortly after the Camellia Bowl was confirmed yesterday, and was able to garner some more details about how the bowl came to fruition. Steinbrecher addresses the conference's relationship with ESPN. Oh, and we should all be happy to hear this: He all but confirmed that another primary bowl tie-in will be announced soon. Since then Boucher has been waiting in the wings, in a long, and challenging test of his patience. Finally though the offense is his, and in his final season in Oxford, he'll get an opportunity to prove once and for all if he's really as good as advertised three years ago.

They have been for some time, even capturing a national championship back in 2010. But now they're under new leadership in first-year head coach Jared Embick. The No. 8 ranked Zips are loaded, but Embick hopes the addition of three highly skilled British newcomers will be the missing piece in Akron's quest for another national title.
