The Cardinals and Golden Flashes played to a halftime tie in Muncie.
Ball State's normally potent and error free offense has been bitten by the turnover bug. On one drive in the first half quarterback Keith Wenning threw an interception into the endzone, and on the following drive wide receiver Jordan Williams fumbled into the endzone, resulting in a touchback.
Kent State quarterback Colin Reardon has completed 9 of his 10 throws for 56 yards and added another 68 yards on 5 carries. Anthony Meray scored Kent State's touchdown in the first quarter rumbling in from 10 yards out. The score capped a 9 play 80 yard drive elapsing 4:45.
Following a Kent State missed field goal, Ball State needed just 5 plays and 1:43 to drive 68 yards and tie the game. Wenning hooked up with Willie Snead from 39 yards out for the score. Snead has tallied 73 yards on 5 catches to pace the Cardinals.
