Auburn and Ole Miss' Oct. 5 game will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPNU. After exercising its six-day option for the SEC games this coming Saturday, CBS has picked Georgia's trip to Tennessee for the 2:30 p.m. CT time slot.
CBS gets the first pick among SEC games, and the TV and kickoff schedule is usually determined two weeks in advance. The network was considering Auburn-Ole Miss, in addition to Florida's home game against Arkansas and Georgia's visit to Tennessee.
Auburn (3-1, 1-1 SEC) should have plenty of rest going into the game, since the Tigers are coming off a bye after their first loss of the season at LSU. Ole Miss (3-1, 1-1) traveled to Alabama Saturday and left Tuscaloosa battered after a 25-0 shellacking. With both sides deploying up-tempo spread offenses and suspect defenses, viewers could be in for a back-and-forth game with a good number of points.
