Jets running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) will not play against the Titans on Sunday. He has not practiced all week and suffered his injury in Week 3's game.
Ivory has dealt with a slew of injuries throughout his career. One of those injuries has been a troublesome hammy, so this is not good news. On top of that, Ivory's production hasn't been there and he has been outplayed by Bilal Powell.
The Jets were expected to use Ivory as their main back since they traded a draft pick to the Saints to get him. He's a hard-running back, but it has only translated to a yards-per-carry average of 2.8, which is well below his career average of 4.9.
Fantasy impact: Bilal Powell is set up for a nice outing this week against the Titans. While the Titans have been solid on defense this year, they gave up the most points in the NFL last year and really haven't had too many personnel changes. Powell is a nice RB2 option and Ivory is no longer a must-own player.
