Both teams are experiencing similar success despite taking different routes to halftime. The New York Giants are running a punctuated offense swinging between failure and huge gains, where Eli Manning has completed nine passes for 132 yards, but almost half of the team's passing offense came on one 69-yard touchdown to Victor Cruz.
Alex Smith is running a very different offense, but keeping his team in front. He's running the same, methoidical offense the Chiefs have run throughout the year. Smith has 152 yards passing at just 6.6 yards per attempt, with a touchdown of his own -- a 5-yard pass to Sean McGrath.
