Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson "should be ready to go" for the team's Week 3 matchup , according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun. Johnson suffered a concussion in the team's Week 2 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans.
With this news, it's likely Johnson's concussion is considered mild. He already was cleared to return to football activities on Monday, which is always a good sign when it comes to concussions. He'll have to take more tests throughout the week and a clearer picture should be had when the practice participation reports come out, but he looks all systems go at this point.
Johnson has 222 receiving yards this season, good for No. 7 in the NFL. He's caught 20 passes and has been targeted 29 times, both of which are league highs. Unfortunately, he has not yet caught a touchdown pass this season.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson is absolutely one of the best receivers in the NFL. It's disappointing that he hasn't snagged a touchdown yet this season, but he'll get there. Fantasy owners should absolutely start Johnson any time there's a greater than 50 percent chance that he'll play. Barring any setbacks throughout the week, that means he's a safe bet to play.
