It's official. We've now got a title sponsor and everything ...
Boston College hockey will take on Notre Dame in Citi Frozen Fenway 2014 on January 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a doubleheader at Fenway Park. The first game of the doubleheader will feature Merrimack and Providence.
You can get your hands on tickets for the doubleheader beginning on September 6 at noon at redsox.com/frozenfenway or by calling (877) RED-SOX9. Tickets start at $5 and are good for both games of the doubleheader. If you can't wait for September 6, alumni, students and supporters from participating schools can take advantage of a special pre-sale opportunity starting today; again over at redsox.com/frozenfenway.
You can also purchase tickets for the following weekends doubleheader featuring Lowell-Northeastern and Maine-Boston University, if that's your thing.
Fenway Sports Management and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino will officially welcome back Hockey East to America's Most Beloved Ballpark in a ceremony at tonight's Red Sox-White Sox game. Notre Dame senior captain Jeff Costello will throw out the game's first pitch, which is cool and all, but has become old hat for the entire Boston College hockey program at this point.
Also, after the Sox let Parker throw out the first pitch, kinda devalues the honor a bit, no?
