This is the last month of Downton Abbey Season 4 and we just can't believe it! There are only three episodes remaining in this latest series and all three promise to be action-packed. How do we know? We kinda watched the entire season when it aired in the United Kingdom last fall. What can we say? It's a perk.
So what's ahead for this evening's entertainment courtesy of Julian Fellowes? Plenty. In case you need a quick refresh on what happened last week, we've got you covered plus a roundup of all the new spoilers for this latest episode.
If knowing everything before it happens doesn't sound all that appealing to you, we also have some details with minimal spoilage as well as a real blast from the past with a Season 3 summary. Of course, if spoilers are exactly what you're in the mood for, we've got tons and tons of information in our Season 4 roundup. How are we so very well-informed? See earlier explanation.
Information overload? Just want a quick look at what's planned for the next episode, on tonight at 9 p.m. on PBS? Keep on reading. We've avoided any major giveaways while still hinting as to what to expect this evening. Tea hot? Crumpets at the ready? Then dive in, old chap!
If there was a theme to tonight's episode it would be choices. Is that vague? Yes, but everywhere we turn this evening there'll be a character making a major life choice. Some are of the romantic variety — should Rose MacClare (Lily James) pursue a relationship with Jack Ross (Gary Carr)? — while others leave us teary-eyed and downright emotional.
We'll also bid adieu to one member of the household after he's called overseas to help out a fellow family member. We won't be joining him abroad, however. There's too much going on back at Downton where a few new romances are blossoming. Nothing like a roll in the mud to get the lovey-dovey feelings going, right?
Sadly, however, it's not all just international travel and young love this evening. Tonight's episode marks the return of Mr. Green (Nigel Harman) and we may just break our TV, we hate seeing him so much. We tell you this so you won't make the same expensive mistake.
