Whether you paint your face, don a jersey or do just enough to wake up in time to catch the game, there’s no beating watching Ohio State Buckeyes football with great food, great friends and great atmosphere.

>> Where to eat and drink before and after a Reds or Bengals game

We’ve compiled a quick list of places that proudly accommodate the most hardcore of Buckeyes fans.

1. Fox & Hound (Beavercreek)

Television screens at every angle with daily drink specials. Basic and to the point -- like T formation.

2. Buffalo Wings and Rings (Centerville)

A full menu, featuring everything from customizable wings with five types of sauces, quesadillas and burgers. They also offer soups and salads for the kickers in your football gang.

ADDRESS: 894 S. Main St., Centerville

HOURS: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Sunday through Thursday), 11 a.m. to midnight (Fri. and Sat.)

Buffalo Wings and Rings (Piqua)

INFO: Website Facebook | Call (937) 773-9464

3. Caddy's Tap House (Beavercreek)

Countless menu options, including 11 types of burgers, not the least of which is the intimidating Dagwood — five patties with bacon and five kinds of cheese.  With nearly 50 beers on tap, they’re bound to have something any beer drinker will enjoy.

ADDRESS: 2760  Towne Dr., Beavercreek

HOURS: 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. (Monday through Sunday)

INFO: Website Facebook | Call (937) 431-0240

4. The Growler Pub & Grub

Formerly the site of Wright Wing (and others), The Growler set up shop in March of 2017. Some things have changed, but the commitment to being a sports bar with multiple screens has not. Guests seem to really love their pizza.

ADDRESS: 3808 Wilmington Pike, Kettering

HOURS: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Sunday to Saturday)

INFO: Website | Facebook | 937-938-7714

Wright Wing (Fairborn)

Under new ownership since May of 2017, as the name implies, they specialize in wings. They also offer pizza and a decent beer selection, to include local breweries.

ADDRESS: 1864 Colonel Glenn Hwy, Fairborn

HOURS: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Sunday to Saturday)

5. Flyboy's Deli (Oakwood)

A visit to Flyboy's, which boasts New York City deli taste, you'll find locally-themed sandwiches and salads along with one of the biggest gatherings of Buckeyes fans this side of Columbus!

 HOURS: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Monday-Thursday), 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. (Friday, Saturday), Noon to 9 p.m. (Sunday)

8. Bunkers Sports Bar & Grill (Vandalia)

The bar is literally surrounded by television screens, so there’s no missing a play…unless you get caught up trying to read all of the more than 40 beers on tap that rotate regularly. The menu is chock full of great American bar fare, included their much-heralded wings. But you should do yourself a favor and get there early enough (starting at 8 a.m.) for their ginormous breakfast portions. They've got more options than military academy offenses.

Bunkers will host a special Ohio State Kick Off Party this Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. and featuring Scarlet Ale from Vandalia’s Hairless Hare Brewery.

ADDRESS: 893 E. National Rd., Vandalia
 HOURS: 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Monday), 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. (Tuesday-Thursday), 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m (Friday), 8 a.m. to 2:30 a.m (Saturday),

9. Fricker's Wings Sports Bar (Kettering)

The Dayton-born chain, with 24 restaurants throughout Ohio, as well as Indiana and That State Up North, has been a local fixture in the sites of sports fans since 1985. With 15 wing sauces, you should be able to find one at your speed. I, of course, could never get passed the Frickin’ Kicker.  Are you a fan of draft beer? Well, how’s about 120 ounces of it in the behemoth Fricker’s calls the Supertube? That’s nearly a gallon of beer and reason enough to install the Uber application on your smartphone.

11. Buckin’ Donkey

Not so much a newcomer as a new location, the Buckin’ Donkey recently opened at the former site of Murray’s. The owners are staunch Pittsburgh sports fans, but you can probably talk them into putting the Buckeyes on for you on gameday. Their specialty burgers are ridiculous.
